Mrs. Mary Ann Patton, 63, died at 5:45 a.m. Saturday at Culver Hospital as the result of a coronary occlusion she suffered two hours earlier. She lived five miles southwest of Crawfordsville. Born Feb. 14, 1901, she was the daughter of Opha and Alta Hester Rush. She was married May 17, 1923, to Rufus D. Patton. Mrs. Patton was a charter member of the Waveland Baptist Church. In her early life, Mrs. Patton attended schools in Russellville and Indianapolis. The survivors include the husband; two sons, Darrell Eugene of Joliet, Ill., and Donald, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Collins, Rt. 3; seven grandchildren; a step-brother, Francis Walls of Grand Rapids, Mich., and a step-sister, Esthel Beesley of Richmond, Ind. A son, Robert, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Carlile Scott in charge. Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
